Episode: “The frantic weather”
In this fifth episode we got informed about the establishment of a network of observation buoys and the creation of a specialized operational centre for the processing of the data collected and the production of forecasts. That’s a pioneer system of forecasting the weather and the sea state in Greece.
“Poseidon” system is rated among the most modern and developed systems in Europe and is one of the most leading in this field word-widely.
HCMR participates in the observation buoys maintenance and plays a crucial role in the coastal and marine security, while at the same time specialised missions are running in order for the “Poseidon” system to provide the Greek and world-wide community with new precious evidence for several years.
